having a down day

Mabel, I can definitely relate with you. The house where my husband and I lived a few years ago ALWAYS had something going on with the water and it was very costly & aggravating. Every now and again we would get lucky and only have to repair something water related maybe three times a week, no lie. My heart goes out to you and I hope everything works out for the best.

Jewelz, I have never been a nurse and have never had to deal with anything like what you are going through, but one of my best friends was recently going through something very similar at her job . . . she is a nurse at a nursing home. She too had to turn a few co- workers in. Not only where they stealing their patients medication, but they were also showing abusive behavior toward them. I think you definitely did the right thing and I’m hoping things get much better very soon.

{Hugs to u both}

Lynsay, I know this is the wrong thread for this but I just had a thought. If someone had a knee replacement then got turned, like me maybe, what would the nanos do about the metal artificital knee? :P

Oh! and right now I'm enjoying my first cup of coffee in my new Argeneau mug! :D

Hmmm, well nanos repair cells that are damaged, and regenerate cells that die hence the staying young, but if the knee cap was removed and replaced with metal years earlier, they probably couldn't repair it because the originals are missing. I'm not sure. I'll have to think about this.

And how would the nanos get rid of the metal part if they were able to regenerate the bone?

How old is your nephew? He could have gotten it from eating/drinking after someone or the more popular kissing someone . I am sure there are other ways also. I had mono when I was 12 and I am convinced I got it from falling into the creek in the cow pasture and swallowing dirty water.YUCKKKK!!!! That particular creek ran thru an area up the road from where there were septic tanks and outhouses in use so I think its possible. I fell into the creek cause I saw a SNAKE in the watercress growing there and I was barefoot cause my mean ole cousin stole my tennis shoes and threw them up a tree. :!: I had to walk home soaking wet, covered in 'mud' from the cows through 2 fields and a gravel drive way about a mile long. :oops: Oh and there were cows, did I mention cows?!

Sorry to hear, Rockie. With a little guy his age he's sure to have gotten it from sharing a toy. Or even playing on a playground behind someone else who had it and putting hands in his mouth. Hope he gets well quickly.

Lisa...you are luck that you didn't get anything worst then mono (unfortunately you probably didn't get it that way).

Rockie....depending on age your nephew could have got mono where spit is being transferred - a toy, a cup, or even a kiss. It's a real pain to have and I hope he feels better soon.

Dont I know it!!! But no one else had mono that we knew of. Water fountain maybe? improperly washed dishes? Bitting finger nails? My MOm knew to take me to the doctor as I was a very picky eater and was suddenly going back for seconds!!! of food I didnt even like! I always had a sore throat as a child due to allergies so my throat wasnt really much diff than usual!

Trust me Lisa I have seen some pretty weird stuff in my life so getting mono from a septic bed, unlikly, but who knows. Fortunately your mother and rockie's nephew parent picked on it and it didn't get worst.
