Yes, I want to hear your take on the movies, please. I don't always get to see them when they're first released in theaters anyway! :)

Love to hear them.

On that note I still love Christmas movies even though it is almost a month after said holiday. (I know it's sad but I LOVE Christmas even with all the commercialization.)

Thanks Terri. I love Christmas movies also. I even got a double feature one when visiting wren last month that I have not watched yet.

Until further notice this blog is going to be about DVD reviews instead of current releases

Season of the Witch (2011) PG_13 95 min
Staring:
Nicolas Cage, Ron Perlman and Claire Foy

14th-century knights transport a suspected witch to a monastery, where monks deduce her powers could be the source of the Black Plague.

I admit I was surprised by the ending of this movie. I do not wish to give away the ending but it had this viewer floored.

For those who have yet to see THOR I highly recommend it. As usual be sure to watch thru the end of the credits. I am sure I have already posted a review for this here but I will post a bat rating :)

PUSS In Boots
PG 90 min
Voices of: Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek and Zach Galifianakis

This is the story of Puss BEFORE the Shrek movies. We see how Puss became an "outlaw" and got his name. If you loved him in the Shrek movies you will love him in his own. This movie is PURRRR-Fect..

I give it 6 bats ( I am not on my 'puter as it died so do not have the site for my bats. Sorry)

I Am Number Four (2011)
PG_13 for intense sequences of violence and action, and for language
109 min

Alex Pettyfer ... John Smith
Timothy Olyphant... Henri
Teresa Palmer ... Number 6
Dianna Agron ... Sarah Hart
Callan McAuliffe ... Sam
Hadley ... Bernie Kosar

An alien from planet Lorien (Alex Pettyfer) was sent to Earth as a child alongside eight others to escape an invading race, the Mogadorians, which destroyed their home planet. He is protected by a Warrior/Guardian, Henri (Timothy Olyphant), and has developed superpowers due to his extraterrestrial nature, such as enhanced strength, speed and agility, telekinesis, resistance to fire and heat, and the power to generate light from his hands.

In my mind the scene stealer is Bernie Kosar, the shapeshifting Chimera protector to John.

The movie starts out slow but picks up. A lot of action, explosions, mystery and love interest ;)

The movie is left open for at least 1 sequel. Which at this writing has not been conformed.

After consultation with the film review blogger, a review of The Amazing Spider-Man is upcoming...definitely a "go see at the theater" film! :D

How many times can they redo these movies?

First batman then spiderman. Me thinks they need some new ideas. How about the Argeneaus on the big screen?
