Ahh...lisa, we would have been sitting on the front row (appreciating Vincent immensely  ;) ) and enjoying the campy musical together! :D

This weeks review: A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)
Jackie Earle Haley, Kyle Gallner
R, 90 min
IMBD parents guide for the movie:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1179056/parentalguide

Freddy as I think of the movies, is similar to the 1984 movie. The plot is basically the same, but there are changes. This reviewer went into this movie NOT expecting the original updated and was pleasantly entertained.

Of course if you do not do horror this is NOT the movie for you. Also it is not intended for children. It does contain graphic violence, and situations. But if you enjoyed the original then I think you will enjoy the "remake". At the end of the credits it states: "Based on the characters created by Wes Craven". Personally I thought that was a good touch.

Furry Vengeance
Well Dr. Doolittle it aint.. ANd I am referring to the Rex Harrison version.

If you want to see a great comedy then I would recommend it. The animals do not "talk" per say. Only in their own language. But this movie will keep you in stitshes.

Be sure to watch the credits. Brooke even makes fun of one of her movies..

Great for all ages. Image Image Image Image Image

Iron Man 2
Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow
PG-13, 125 min

This is a great squeal. The effects are awesome. The story takes place 6 months from the first one. In this there are a few scenes and references to 2 upcoming movies. Also stay until the last credit shows. This also is for an upcoming movie. I believe that children of all ages will enjoy this movie.

If for some reason you have not seen Iron Man this will stand on its own. But like Lynsay's books they can stand alone but do tie into the first :)

Letters to Juliet
Amanda Seyfried, Chris Egan
PG, 105 min

What can I say. Was treated to the special showing on Mother's Day. It is a comedy, romance. This reviewer laughed a lot, and even cried a couple of times. We saw a lot of couples and even a few men watched it alone and enjoyed it. This movie makes you believe in true love..No matter what your age.

Acceptably for all ages but do not feel children will enjoy a love story.;) Image Image Image Image Image

Robin Hood
Russell Crowe: Robin Longstride, Cate Blanchett
(and for thoes who liked ER: Scott Grimes)
PG-13, 148 min

Well this is not the Robin you all have grown up with. The story is your Typical good guy getting the shaft at the end. BUT The story line is great. It builds up to how Robin became the Robin we all know.

This movie is NOT for young Children. Granted they may see more violence in video games but there are two scenes that I think will give small kids nightmares.

This also leaves it open for a sequel. We enjoyed it very much and would like to see again. There is nothing at the end of the credits. Also This reviewer stayed until the last credit was shown to see her Posting. No animals were harmed in the making of this movie. Yes there are a few of the movies I see that I wait to see that.
