Wren, I discovered Jeaniene Frost and Jocelynn Drake in an anthology that I had bought for a Kim Harrison novella in her Rachel Morgan series. It's called Unbound. The Jeaniene Frost novella is a prequel to her Cat & Bones books. The Jocelynn Drake novella is a prequel to her Dark Days series. The Kim Harrison novella could probably be taken as a stand alone, but it really fits between her last two releases. The other two authors in the anthology were Melissa Marr, who ventured into adult paranormal for the first time, and Vicki Pettersson with another addition to her Zodiac series. The Melissa Marr was unlike anything I'd read and would be interested if she ever expanded on it. I've never read her YA, though. I've now read two Vicki Pettersson's novellas in the Zodiac series (she was also in Holidays Are Hell with Lynsay's second shape shifter novella) and really have no interest in reading the rest of that series. Once again, an anthology led to me spending a small fortune on new authors! I swear, they are the devils work! Evil!

Okay, I have to plead the Wren! Meaning I can't put them into one category. So....

Top Paranormal:
1. Lynsay Sands
2. Kerrelyn Sparks, Kelley Armstrong, Sherilyn Kenyon, Nalini Singh, Christine Feehan, Patricia Briggs, Susan Sizemore
(Of course Lynsay is number one, but after that they are all up there at #2)

Top Romance:
1. Lynsay Sands
2. Lynn Kurland
3. Jo Beverley. Mary Jo Putney, Mary Balogh
4. Teresa Medeiros, Kinley MacGregor
5. Julia Quinn, Sandra Hill

Pick just five... are you kidding? Not happening.

My list could go on forever but I had to pick the ones that I couldn't wait if I knew they had a new release coming out but I could definitely add a few more.
