Ah, Star Trek. Nanotechnology has had a big role to play in the Star Trek universe. Big users of nanos have been the greatest villains the Federation is ever faced. Well I remember those words: "We are the Borg. Life, as you know it, has ended. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile." Image

I will never forget the episode of TNG where Wesley fell asleep while working with nanites and they escaped into the mainframe of the Enterprise's computer. That was the first thing I thought of when I first read Lynsay's books.

Ahhh...Star Trek...and yummy delicious Star Trek Captains. My fave is Jean-Luc Picard!

Agree with Sue, though...Kirk was definitely a Lothario in the original Star Trek. I think on TNG, that role fell to first officer, Commander William Riker until he & Counselor Deanna Troi finally work it all out and get married. I love a good HEA! :)

Oh yes...there is much romance in the sci-fi world! Image

I agree with you ladies. Jean Luc was lovely for an older man.

Where characters were concerned on Star Trek: Voyager series I also thought seven of nine was pretty cool for a female officer. If I had to be one of them I'd rather have been her.

The nano article that you were first referring to is here ...
