No worries Terri, it happens. I bought all of Lynsays books a little over a year ago. I had surgery around that time, and I was loving the Argeneau series. Still do! :D My Mom took me to her second home up north to get away two days after my surgery. About a four in a half hour drive from Boise. A nice little rural area. Great place to relax and heal. So I took all of Lynsays books with me, because I planned to be away for a little over a week. During that week I read VAF. Wasn't able to take VAF back at the time. So I just let it go. I can tape it. I started reading ABTR the evening after my surgery. It took me three days to read it. Everytime I took pain medication I'd fall asleep. How annoying when your trying to read a book and I was only taking half the dose. My goal was to stop taking pain meds ASAP so I could enjoy my books. Last month I wasted a whole bottle of Hydocodone elixir from over a year ago. Here I go with rambling again. Sorry about that. ;)

Hi jewelz,

Ack... I do understand. And surgery... hope all is better now. I can see it would be frustrating to fall asleep when you're trying to read. Happens a lot to me lately as I never seem to have time and when I do it's just before bed and wham... I fall asleep. It's frustrating when it takes weeks to months to read a book.

I had Lap-band surgery. I've lost a total of eighty lbs. I had to do a Doctor recommended crash diet about six weeks before surgery. So twenty five of the eighty was from before surgery. I'd like to lose at least another fifty pounds. I'm feeling great! The surgery wasn't bad. I took three weeks off from work.

I hate taking Medications of any sort, because I have weird reactions to some of them, especially pain medicines. They put me on codiene once for Pnuemonia. After the First dose I was fine, but after the second dose I was practically comatose for three days. My Mother told me she could barely wake me up enough to get me to eat, drink, go to the bathroom, and take my next dose of medications. She said at one point it was so bad she was about to call for an ambulance, but our neighbour was a nurse, and she came over to chack on me and said I was ok, just having a strang reaction to the medicine, and as long as I was getting fluids, not to worry about it. I'm also allergic to chamomile, and other plants in it's Family, Including cannibus. If you don't know what cannibus is, it's more comonly known as marijuana. No, I have never tried pot, but I worked as a security guard for 6 1/2 years, and part of that time I worked at a dorm at the University of Arizona. Bad way to learn you are allergic to pot, almost passing out from lack of oxygen infront of the cops....

Hmmm . . . I have the opposite reaction to some things. A lot of drugs just don't work on me. A dentist would have to give four or five shots and double the dosage on the last two to try to get me to freeze. My body just resists it. Ah well, guess that just means I never have to worry about becoming a drug addict, lol.

I'd most likely end up in the ER on Oxygen and fighting to breathe. And I agree, the stuff reeks! A cop once asked me what it smelled like to me, and I told him it smells like some one mixed sugar and Manure, and set it on fire...EWWWWWWWWW!

HI TERRI!.....

was curious, with all the audio books & the cool new phones out ( i have the droid) have you ever thought of/ or are you looking into an APP for the phones? linked to the forum & Lynsay's web site. So often I can't get to my puter while im out, & its really hard to see everything of my phone with the internet, but the APP's make it easier usually!?

thanks for listening!

Copper, I've had that happen before. Have you tried ironing the spine? Sometimes the glue doesn't get a good stick and if you re-align the cover where it's supposed to be, set your iron a little below the cotton level, and put a piece of cotton material between the iron and the book to protect the book, then set the iron flat on the spine for about 10 - 15 seconds (careful and don't burn yourself) it will re-adhere. I've had to do that a couple of times with different books.
