Since the books will now be hardback first, do you have a dates for the paperback releases?

The paperbacks we have been told are supposed to be released 6 months afterwards.

The hardcover and e-books are to be released January 3rd, 2012.

Unfortunately this is going to hurt a lot of us. As I am not a fan of hard backs nor have an e-reader. Looks like I will be among the many who have to wait 6 months later to rad the story :/ It is a shame several of the bookstores are going out of business.

Well this totally sucks. I suspect it all plays into the publishers business model: 'The devoted fans will pony up for the hard cover.' There's something cynical about that approach but it seems they're in it to make the most money. Go figure. I do have an e-book reader and believe they're totally worth it. I bought my Mom one recently because she can't get around very well anymore but she does love to read. If I were wealthy, I'd be buying them for all my friends. Though I tend to get Lynsay's books in audio format through Audible.com since I have a membership there. They've been very good lately about getting Lynsay's books out on the release date. I hope it continues.

I guess this is a little bit of good news/bad news. I'm disappointed that we have to wait even longer for Christian's story, but it's great that we won't have to pay the hard cover price! Not that I'm complaining, but why is it not being released as a hard cover?
