I soooo wasn't looking for a husband when I met Johnnie. I just got out of a bad marriage, and the thought of jumping into another relationship scared me! I worked with him for about a year, so he knew about my divorce. He was very sweet to me all the while. He became my shoulder to cry on. He is 5 years younger than me, and living with his mom. He was 19. His mom however decided she wanted to move upstate. He didn't want to leave, so I got up the courage to ask him to be my roommate. I don't think he ever even put his stuff into the extra room. We just hit it off so well that there was no mistaking he was the guy for me. That was 9 years ago, and we're still going strong! For Valentine's day he got me a new set of wedding rings (amazing) and he rewrote his side of our wedding vows!

Thank-you for the entries everyone. It’s so nice to hear about couples that have been together for 52 years and 64 years. This was really hard decision but it was finally made.

The winner of a signed copy of The Husband Hunt is…. (drum roll)…. Susan60625. That little red sweater story was very funny. Good for your grandmother... wow that was probably pretty riske for those times...LOL.
Send me your info Susan so we can send it off. <G>

Thanks, Terri! I've always thought that story was pretty funny! Of course, my dad says that it was the sweater that caught his eye, but her ability to cook that sealed the deal! I'll get an email off to you A.S.A.P.!
