I haven't seen anything yet. Every couple of days I check Lynsay's site to see if Terri has posted an excerpt yet. However, it is still early. I really don't expect anything for another couple of months. Believe me, I'm as anxious as you are to get Christian's story!

The model's pony tail is supposed to be down the back of his neck. They tried to add it after when I complained you couldn't see the ponytail, but it didn't look right.

As for cutting off the head, you'll have to blame me. I have a tendency to HATE the models they pick for the characters. They never look like them. A Bite To Remember? I was horrified by the girl. That WASN'T Jackie. So they darkened the pic and put my name over her face. Vampires are Forever? Does that cute little blonde look like she's Portuguese with dark, curly hair? And that ISN'T Thomas. I could go on, but you get the point. The only time I haven't shrunk from the covers was when they sent me pics of models to choose from, then I can pick the one who looks most like the characters. And they have been doing that the last couple books. In fact, they did that with this cover and I did pick a model who looked like Christian, but I forget what happened. He wasn't available or something. So they got someone else and cut off his head. Frankly, I'd rather have that than have someone who looks nothing like the character. It's kind of like having the heads of the members of my family cut out and stranger's faces inserted. Just looks wrong to me. So, I'm afraid you have to blame me.

[color=#FF0080]I for one am glad you stick to your guns. I can not stand when the cover holds no resemblance to the characters that we have come to love. I am also glad that you did the pronunciation guide for the readers. It makes me absolutely crazy when the reader of an audio book totally get it wrong.

Loved the excerpt of UVM in Bite before Christmas! Have we had in the past a storyline with such angst over age difference before, except for Mabel and DJ? Teddy was worried and then after figuring out Immortal got over it pretty quickly. Course poor Christian looks like a kid and poor Caro hasn't got a clue so this ought to be interesting! Like the description of the band, hope we see more of them. I mean in future books?

Hello Guys I'm new but been reading as much of the forum, too catch up and get a rough idea on everyones views and who's has taken dibs on the best looking immortals - Christian, Bastien and the Hunky Notte Twins . This is the first time I have liked....oh! I meant LOVE a book series enough that I am spending every minute i'm free reading the forum and re-reading my favourite books to find sly hints for future books. I do love VI, REN, TIH, VAF and soon UVM

I found it OMG I need more. What will Gia say to Caro? I do have a theory though how Gia could get Carolyn and Christian close.

Under UVM the piece of writing telling you a bit about the book (totally forgot what its called ) gave me an idea
According to his cousin Giacinta, women in general aren't Christian's type. But there's a catch, Christian needs Carolyn's help. He needs her to be his beard (to play the part of his fake girlfriend) for the week to appease his 'machismo' family

Gia may talk to Caro in the lavatory (washroom) convince her to play Christian's beard (fake Girlfriend) explaining Christian is 'gay' or 'really feminine' and needs her too help please his 'macho' family and convince them Christian is manly as the rest.

Welcome Kathleen! It looks like we may have a new convert to our little family! Just a few points that need to be clarified.

The number one rule here on the forum is NO FAN FICTION! We get occasional visits from Lynsay and we want her to continue to visit. If there is fan fiction on the site, she cannot legally participate. We do speculate on the threads right after a book comes out and Lynsay will avoid those threads, but that's it.

Okay, now that the unpleasant stuff is out of the way..... while it is not a requirement, we encourage all new forum members to go to the Getting to Know You section and answering the Getting to Know You and Quirky Questions threads. That way we can get to know you and you can look back and get to know a little about us, too.

Also, another note. As a new member, you'll notice that your id appears in green. This just indicates that you are new to the forum. However, as a new member, your posts have to be monitored. It's not for content, so much, but to prevent spammers from getting onto the site. The monitors for the site are Lynsay and her sister/assistant, Terri. After you've submitted about twenty posts, you will be "turned" and your id will turn dark blue. Once that happens, your posts will appear immediately.

Once you've been turned, it will be easier to participate in the games. Until then, your answers are hidden and, quite probably, will be too late once they are approved for posting. Unfortunately, Terri and Lynsay are not always available to clear out the pending posts, especially when Lynsay is on a writing jag! With four book releases this year, she has been hiding out and working very hard, so we haven't seen too much of her lately, but as long as she is okay and writing, we wait patiently for her return.

Oh, one other thing. You may want to go back to the website and sign up for the newsletter. It comes out every month or so, and has games and contests that you can participate in. Of course, we here on the forum are a bit more lucky. We usually find out the latest news here first. We, also, have contests that are exclusively for forum members.

So, welcome once again. Stick out the first several posting delays and you'll find that there isn't a better bunch of people anywhere on the web!
