I'm afraid I don't know but knowing Canadians, probably the invention of selling beer in 24 packs.

And, of course not just any beer, but Molsen's!

Hey, Jodi...next history lesson for Canada...tomorrow I'll have my sons look up & find out what the Canadian Thanksgiving really celebrates, how it came to be, and how it compares/contrasts with the American Thanksgiving. Mr Spice & Sue, they are so going to love you for this one <grin> because it sounds like a five paragraph essay at the least...hopefully involving more than beer! :P

One of the best things about teaching History & Geography is that you can step away from the lesson plan since it does not have to be taught chronologically nor sequentially, such as Math. After you finish something special, then you move back into your regular lessons. Ahhh, those spontaneous teachable moments that come up...I just love them! Image

I'll have to email the boys and tell them I'm sorry for the extra work! I didn't mean to give them grief! :o

They're getting a holiday this weekend as we are going to visit sin & GiGi3 and their families in Georgia, and we will be attending the Medieval Times show while we are there, and they are getting "time off for good behavior" until we return. I'll have them take a good book to read, but the hotel also has an indoor pool. I'm not so harsh of a schoolmarm that I'll make them do lessons on a vacation! *grin* So, don't feel too bad if they actually have to look up something and do a little work, Sue! Besides, when they do it right, it can be more fun than work...it's all in the attitude!

In the second week after publication The Renegade Hunter has retained the extremely respectable position of number 8 on the NY Times Bestseller Lists.
