That would make a terrific teen romance. I wonder if Lynsay has ever thought of taking a stab at writing one of those. It would be years before she could use that scenario but she does have Stephanie.I wonder how old you would have to be before the nano life mate radar kicks in. I doubt there would be any set age; just a certain level of maturity I suppose.

Thomas, this topic has come up before. I'm trying to remember exactly the situation, but I think Lynsay's publisher has asked her to think about doing a YA series and Lynsay was thinking of doing just that with Stephanie. I'm not sure what ever came of that, however.

I like YA books. I still read them occasionally as many of them are quite good. I think to write a good one you don't dumb it down, you just make the main character be a young person. I'm sure that, teens and preteens hate to be talked down to as much as the rest of us do. Perhaps, in writing such a book, you would skip the hot and steamy… intimacy, or at least dial it back a bit.

As the Teen of the forum, or one of them anyway. I hate being talked down to. I read books at higher levels and at faster rates than some of my teachers. So yes, talking down to kids in a book is never a good idea. Just make it like your books for The Aregeneau series except lighter on the sexual content and your golden.

That's part of the reason I like to read YA books. Most authors who do them are just writing their same style, but without the sexual content, which I prefer. Now, teen romances? Nah, I don't want to go there again. But I like adult romance that would be rated PG-13, just can't find very many of them. Especially ones written in time periods that I like. Seems like most of the clean historical romance is set in Pioneer days or Revolutionary America. I like Regency and Medieval, for Pete's sake!

I am now re-reading The Accidental Vampire and I had totally forgotten that Elvi had six miscarriages before having her daughter, and then nearly died giving birth. My heart goes out to her. I would LOVE to see her & Victor become parents. Even though, like she said, it would not heal her completely from the loss of Casey, but it would help to fill that void in her life as well as her arms with a lil one. :D Sorry about the change of subject... I just had that on my mind.

Denise - I would also really like a YA series from lynsay because it would help me convert my friends to the series. I keep trying to get them to read but they won't because the think its gonna be like porn  if there was a YA story connected then I could get them to read that then the other books

Mystic- It's quite alright. I would like to see that as well. Elvi is a great mother type, I'm very excited to see her with Stephenie.
