Time for a New Favorite, I think.

What is your favorite non fiction book?

Mine is Cheaper by the Dozen, the Biography of the Gilbreth Family who reared 12 children in the early 1900's

Unfortunately, I really don't read non-fiction books. I have too many novels to read to think about non-fiction. If I had to choose a genre that I might read, it would have to be true crime stories.

I love reading non-fiction Books. History is my favorite but I also love books about science provided they have good narrative and aren't to dry.

My favorite non-fiction book right now is "The Poison King, the Life and Legend of Mithradates, Rome's Deadliest Enemy" by Adrienne Mayor. A long title but a fascinating book. It reads less like history and more like a novel full of romance and adventure. It contains one of the great love stories in all of history between Mithradates and his warrior queen Hypsicratea.

I love Cheaper By The Dozen. It has a sequel, too. I'll have to think about this topic to decide on a fave. :)

Wren, the sequel is called Belles on their Toes, and follows the family after the death of their Patriarch.

Okay, let's start a new favorite.

What is your favorite older movie? By older, I mean from before the year 2000.

I'll start by saying that it is a tie between Steel Magnolias and Fried Green Tomatoes. Whenever I see these movies in the TV Guide, that's where I'm heading!
