I'm singing the after Christmas blues.... how about you? I believe my post-holiday blahs stem from the fact I get so busy running around, making sure the decorations are just so, getting gifts for everyone hoping it's what they want, making time to see all my friends and family and making sure to make/buy/steal all the promised food for the FOUR Christmases I was committed to attend. Of course by STEALING I mean stealing a recipe from a friend OR buying the cake and ripping off the packaging so it looks like I made it OR taking the last box of shortbread cookies straight from the hands of a kindly elderly lady who happened to be waiting in line at the deli for proscuitto . . . just kidding about this last example . . . LOL. I believe the fact that we work and work and work and save and work some more to make Christmas this truly special occasion and then it's gone within a couple of days is just so disheartening. Should any day get this much blood, sweat and tears? Don't get me wrong as I love Christmas but I do think it gets to be a little much at times. And then we have this long wait (months really) through some blisteringly cold weather before we get another reprieve, holiday or celebration to break our daily routine.
Wait a minute . . . we do have a holiday to celebrate. Although it's not officially a national holiday, I consider it quite an important holiday. Valentine's day, of course! Who doesn't love Valentine's day? An entire day to celebrate love in all it's many forms. Give your significant other a nice romantic meal. Give your mom flowers or your dad a tool of some sort (it's a guy thing and he'll love it, believe me). Give your friends a call. Give your siblings a break from tormenting them. The point is, it's a day we can celebrate those people in our lives that we care about. So celebrate and have fun! I know I will. I already have plans in the works to first have dinner with Mr. Sands then later on kidnap my sisters for a girl's only Valentine celebration. Woohoo!
Again we have a lot going on in January and February so here it goes!
Tiny's story was just released in the anthology Bitten By Cupid on January 12, 2010. Plots are thickening in the Argeneau/Rogue Hunter series and you'll learn even more with this short but sweet installment in the Argeneau saga.
The second book in the Devil Of The Highlands series, Taming The Highland Bride, has just been released January 26, 2010. This one is just in time for Valentine's day and involves Alex d'Aumesbery and Merewen Stewart. Pick it up to find out how Merry got the name the Stewart Shrew.
And hard on it's heels is the third book in the Devil Of The Highlands series, The Hellion And The Highlander, which will be released on February 23, 2010. It involves Kade Stewart, Merry Stewart's brother, that went missing during the crusades.
Finally, we do have another contest going on (below) for one of two signed copies of Taming The Highland Bride. Again this contest is a slightly different format. Just remember to send your answers to Terri by midnight on February 15th.
