After a prolonged rainy season, it looks like the sunshine is finally starting to heat things up. Summer is now taking off, when it's not raining that is, and here at the Sands ranch, we are happy but busy. I had mentioned on my home page at LynsaySands.net that our work here seems endless, especially lately. There have been three sets of corrections delivered and due back within a week, interviews for readers for audio books, house/office organizational issues like blinds and furniture and getting ready for the RWA conference in Washington, DC. The biggest issue we had was finding a new email provider and transfering all of our emails to the new host. Our previous provider decided to 'improve' their email program and boy did they mess that up. The "improved" version was painfully slow, popups were constantly causing security issues with our antivirus program, their email would kick us out if someone else logged in, they kept blocking valid emails, some emails couldn't be opened, they lost emails and they even lost some of our folders... Grr. Well good riddance to the problems. We switched over to a new email host as of last Thursday. Phew!
So as I was saying, these days are going by so fast that it's making my head spin. We are just finishing an update to the website so for all my fantastic readers out there, please be patient. It will be updated within a week. And of course, as we get more information on upcoming releases, we'll post it. Which brings me to some exciting news! I have recently been informed by my old editor at Dorchester that they have decided to reissue some of my older historicals. And they are starting with The Deed, which is appropriate since The Deed was my first novel that was published back in 1997. Wow... have I been writing that long?! LOL
Well guys we are FINALLY running another contest and this one features the Argeneau/Rogue Hunter series. The lucky winners will get a signed copy of an arc of The Renegade Hunter! Your task will be to find the Argeneau/Rogue Hunter couples in the given anagrams and submit your answers to admin@lynsaysands.net by midnight on Aug 01 2009. You can find out more by reading the heading Argeneau Contest # 9, found below.
And the final bit of news I have to tell you is that I will be attending the Romance Writers of America or RWA conference, which is taking place in Washington, DC. The conference starts Wednesday, July 15th and runs until Saturday, July 18th. I believe there will be a couple of signings open to readers.
The first will be the Readers For Life Literacy Autographing on Wednesday, July 15th between 5:30pm and 7:30pm at The Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in the Exhibit Hall.
The second will be the Avon Open House Book Signing on Thursday, July 16th between 3:00pm and 4:30pm at The Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in the Thurgood Marshall Rooms S&W. Maybe I'll see some of you there? ;-) |
