A Note To Readers
We wish you a merry Christmas! We wish you a merry Christmas! We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year!! Yes, 'tis the season to be jolly and kind to everyone... even those that are not so kind back because you never know what's going on in their lives. I have a friend that is a wonderful, sweet person eleven months out of the year but come December, WATCH OUT! I quickly learned to avoid the subject of Christmas around said friend. However one day every December I would risk bodily harm and invite them to Christmas dinner. I must have worn him down over time because one year he finally relented and came to Christmas dinner.
Here are some lovely pics of my pups. Roxie is the German Shepherd with the big ears. Teddy is the Bichon Frise/Poodle mix with the bedroom eyes and Allie is the white Lab that's sticking her leg out at an odd angle. These photos were taken just before Allie's operation to repair her ACL on her left leg.
If the pooches could talk I'm sure this is what they'd be saying...
Roxie: What are you lookin at. Grr
Teddy: I'm too sexy for this couch, too sexy for this couch, so sexy is my slouch!
Allie: Hi! (Panting) Hi! (More panting) I love you! (Butt wiggle and panting) I love you! (Butt wiggles as she brushes your leg) Love me! (and then she gets so excited from just a look from you that she piddles on your feet)
Roxie: Whatever... (Not bothering to look up even after repeated attempts at calling her name)
Speaking of her operation, Allie is recovering well although I am counting the days when she'll be able to frolic with the others without us having to scold her for running or jumping. She's still a puppy so trying to restrain her enthusiasm is like trying to keep an angry bull from running headlong at the red target. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that her leg heals without a hitch otherwise our lovely lab will be wearing a booty on her left leg for life. I wonder if I could get one in a Christmas theme...
We hope you have a very Merry Christmas and wonderful year to come! The pups also wish you a very barky Christmas, although I am hoping for a quiet one myself!
The Switch was reissued this month with a lovely new cover. In this, my third book to be published, a charming pair of twin sisters Charlotte or Charlie and Elizabeth run away. But knowing two women travelling alone would be asking for trouble, they came up with a plan...Charlie would disguise herself as Charles, Elizabeth’s brother. Unfortunately, Lord Radcliffe intercepts them as they try to escape. Cornered they tell Radcliffe about their greedy uncle and his plans to marry Elizabeth to a man whose late wives all died under suspicious circumstances. Lord Radcliffe, concerned for their safety, decides to escort them to London. Along the way Charlie finds herself becoming more and more attracted to Radcliffe… The only problem is she’s supposed to be Charles, a fellow bachelor and Elizabeth's brother.
One Lucky Vampire is the 19th book in the Argeneau series. It's about Stephano Jacob Colson Notte. Stephano was turned in A Bite To Remember after a rogue vampire fatally wounded him. Since then Stephano, or Jake as he goes by now, moved away dropping out of touch with everyone he knew and started a new career as a bodyguard... His life mate is Nicole Phillips, a mortal with a target on her back. Nicole had a lousy marriage and is just two weeks shy of the final step, the divorce. Marguerite has known Nicole since she was young and has followed her career ever since. However there have been a few too many potentially dangerous incidents seemingly directed at Nicole. Concerned for her health both mentally and physically and knowing Nicole would never accept a bodyguard, Marguerite coaxes her into getting a 'housekeeper'. And she knows the perfect person for the job... Jake Colson.
Vampire Most Wanted is the 20th book in the Argeneau series and it's scheduled to be released on February 18, 2014. The latest Argeneau story has to do with another Notte, Marcus Notte, but it also has an immortal I’ve mentioned in a few books, the mysterious Basha. Due to a twist of fate, this lady has been alienated from her family for more than two thousand years. Having been on her own so long she’s learned to live like a gypsy and act like a ghost but she’s about to get the shock of her life when an enforcer successfully tracks her down. Marcus Notte is Julius Notte’s right hand man, but now that Julius no longer needs him to help run the company, Marcus is feeling at loose ends. To fill the void, he agrees to help out Lucian in tracking down Basha, someone Lucian had thought long dead until now.
To Marry A Scottish Laird is scheduled to be released on June 26th. This story is the next book in An English Bride in Scotland series and it’s about Jo, a young woman on a quest to deliver a message to the Laird and Lady MacKay, and Cam, a warrior who saves her from bandits and then offers his escort.
