My latest news...
Ahh Christmas...it's almost here and everyone seems to be in a mad rush to get those last minute items. Even I was out shopping these past few days, popping into stores then immediately leaving again because the crowd was just too thick to move without bumping into someone. (I'm not one that would actually elbow my way through a store although I'll admit that it did cross my mind after getting my toes stomped on a couple of times!!! Grrr) However, even with the crowds I did find something for everyone so it looks like Santa will be visiting the Sands household this year again. Yay!
On that note, we decided it's time for another amazing contest...This time it's the UGLY SWEATER CONTEST. Everyone has one and it doesn't even have to be a Christmas sweater. The only requirement is that it's U-G-L-A-Y! And the prize you ask? This one gives you the chance to win one of three copies of the ARC of my upcoming book, Runaway Vampire! Yes, I did say Runaway Vampire so get those pics in to us!
As I've mentioned before, Dante runs into Mary's life buck-naked. But eventually he has to borrow some clothes from our heroine and one of the things he borrows is a very unbecoming pink sweatshirt so we decided to run this contest whereby readers can send in a picture of their ugliest sweater!
So go find that old and ratty OR new but awful sweater hanging in the back of your closet that you refuse to wear because it's just so darn U-G-L-A-Y, put it on, take a pic, and post it on one of Lynsay's social networks (Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter or Instagram) by January 4th. Please use @LynsaySands with #RunawayVampire with your pic to ensure we see it! ;-)
(Note: We're looking for personal pics here so any cheater images, like those obviously copied from online stores, will be disqualified.)
Dante Notte finally gets his happy ending in Lynsay's upcoming book, Runaway Vampire. It's set to come out on February 23rd, just after Valentine's day. ;-)
Updates from the last newsletter...
The newsletter contest winner was drawn and Joanna Howley won the signed copy of a historical reissue of her choice, The Deed, along with a red Lynsay Sands promotional pen. Congrats Joanna!
My upcoming books...
Dante Notte's book, Runaway Vampire, is book #23 in my Argeneau series and is scheduled to come out February 23rd, 2016. One of the Notte twins is finally getting his story! You heard me right. Dante Notte is the lucky twin that meets his match when he literally gets run down by his life mate's RV. This pair may be off to a rocky start, but we have high hopes for Dante and Mary!
Book #4 of the Highlander series will be coming out some time in the summer of 2016 and is titled Falling For The Highlander. This one's about Murine Carmichael who was also one of the ladies that showed up at Castle Sinclair as a potential bride for Cam. You’ll remember her as the one who kept fainting throughout Jo's book, To Marry A Scottish Laird. She also became good friends with Jo and Saidh and revealed her mettle in that story even with her tendency to swoon.
What I'm currently working on...
I recently finished writing Tomasso’s story Immortal Nights, book #24 in the Argeneau series, and as usual my characters threw me for a loop. Even I was surprised by some of the things that happened. Tomasso’s story starts off with him naked and caged in the cargo hold of a transport plane…only he’s not alone. Thinking it was a good opportunity for a mini vacation with an old friend, the pilot hides Abigail in the cargo hold only to realize too late that this was not a flight of leisure and that his paying customers were dangerous. Oh... and our stowaway Abigail also happens to be Tomasso’s life mate. His story definitely starts out with a bang!
And I’m about to start working on the next book in the Argeneau series, book #25. This story is going to be heading in a slightly different direction so stay tuned!
I’m also working on the 5th book in my latest Scottish Highlanders series and this one’s about Edith Drummond, friend of Joan, Saidh and Murine. Readers also met her in To Marry A Scottish Laird.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night ! ;-)
